Maritza Spindler Maritza first developed her interest in the sacred practice of Yoga in 1999 to 2000 while living and traveling in India. There she studied the history and philosophy of yoga, meditation, and the foundations of a personal practice. Returning back to the United States and continuing to grow spiritually, Maritza attended the Yoga Society of San Francisco in the winter of 2001. This small, local ashram became her personal classroom, studying intensively under the guidance of guru, Hariharananda Jorge Cal. |
Hari taught Maritza how to bring the balance and awareness of yoga into one's everyday life. She left San Francisco in 2004 and continued to travel to other countries and explore other cultures..
In 2007 she furthered her studies in yoga by enrolling in the 200 hour teacher training certification program at the Santosha School of Yoga in Providence RI, with Maya Breuer. Maya's teacher training program was both intimate and inspirational. Now a certified yoga instructor, Maritza looks forward to bringing the gift of yoga to your community. She believes that one's physical wellness is the union of body, mind and spirit. That the benifits of a yoga practice are available for everyone to enjoy.
